Fireplace Wall Ideas with TV

When mounting a TV above a fireplace, managing heat is crucial to ensure the longevity of your electronics and the safety of your home. Heat & Glo offers several advanced technologies to help!

Passive Heat

Allows heat to disperse naturally, without a fan, into the room through a side, front or open wall register, reducing wall surface temperatures. This allows you to place a TV just 12 inches above the fireplace opening without a mantel. Here are the passive heat fireplace options.

SmartWall TV Kit

Only available on the Cosmo gas fireplace series, SmartWall technology allows you to move heat to another part of your home, up to 20 feet away, so you can mount a TV 12 inches above the fireplace without a mantel. (Continuous fan operation and minimum guidelines must be followed.)

Heat-Zone® Kit

Draw heat from your fireplace to an adjacent room in your home, up to 20 feet away. When a Heat-Zone® kit is run continuously, it can redirect up to 25% of the heat to another area, reducing wall temperatures above the fireplace.

Heat Out Kit

Draw heat from your fireplace and direct it outside, up to 25 feet away. When operating continuously on high, it can redirect up to 40% of the heat off the fireplace, while reducing wall temperatures above the fireplace.

PowerFlow™ Heat Management Technology

Available only on the Primo II gas fireplace series, PowerFlow™ redirects the flow of the heat, sending warmth where you want it, all while maintaining safe outer glass and a cool wall. Quickly adjust heat distribution throughout your space, inside or outside the home, at the flip of a switch.

Matching Your Fireplace to Your TV

For a harmonious and balanced living room, matching the length of your fireplace to your TV is key. This creates a cohesive look, making the setup feel intentional and well-designed. Here are a few tips:

Measure First

Measure the length of your TV and fireplace. Ideally, they should be of a similar size to create visual balance. Gas linear fireplaces are available in a range of sizes, from 36 inches to 72 inches long, with customizable sizes at Stellar by Heat & Glo.

Mounting Height

Ensure the TV is mounted at a comfortable viewing height. Consider the distance from your seating area to avoid straining your neck. With Heat & Glo’s heat management technology, TVs can be placed as close to the fireplace as 12 inches without a mantel.
